For the first time in a while I’ve levered myself out of bed and out of the house before half the day was gone. Hollywell Pool at the head of Hollywell Dene is a Northumberland Wildlife Trust which I’ve lived near for the past 30+ years but never visited until recently. There’s even a local bus which takes me practically door to door so I’ve really no excuse not to visit more often.
There wasn’t a lot going on so I entertained myself practicing on the occasional passing seagull.
Eventually a grey heron did a flypast for me, albeit not closely enough for decent quality print material.
